Rulenge-Ngara Catholic diocese, entirely rural and remote, is one of the 32 Catholic dioceses in the United Republic of Tanzania. It is situated in the extreme Northwestern corner of the country and it shares borders with the two small war-torn East-African republics of Rwanda and Burundi. Apart from attending to spiritual needs, the diocese also is involved in education; managing three secondary schools, two elementary school and sixteen pre-primary centers. The need for education facilities in this remote area is tremendous. Empowering children with education will not only mean a promising future for them but also a decrease of street children, crime, and future political instability.
In all of our schools we are lacking instructional tools, something that makes students drag behind other students in the world. Today’s world is a competitive world (globalization); the technology is growing rampantly. Introducing the new technology will empower the students with skills they dream for, provide opportunities to shape and create future well-educated generations, expand their scope of knowledge and make all students successful. This is our intended mission. All the schools are co-education schools. The high schools have eight to twelve grades while the elementary schools have first to seventh grades.
We are fundraising to purchase the items on Our Needs List plus we need cost of shipping support to make sure the container reaches the final destination. I thank you in advance for your support. I believe that ours is not a donor-recipient relationship but a relationship between partners in Christ. Thank you for your generosity. May God bless you all!
To empower the children with skills they dream for, to provide opportunities to shape and create future well-educated generations, to expand the students knowledge and to make all students successful.
